Wigmore Castle

Wigmore Castle is in Herefordshire. It is maintained by English Heritage. The castle was abandoned in the 17th century and is still largely buried. A pathway exists around the ruins of the castle. The castle grounds have been left as they were found with weeds, wild flowers and stinging nettles everywhere, creating a very different environment to other castles in the UK.
