Side

Side (pronounced SEE-deh) is a town which thrives on tourists. There are impressive ruins as well, the amphitheatre is from the 2nd century and gladiator and water events were held here and has 15,000 seats. The temples are the Temples of Apollo and Athena which again date from the 2nd century. Some of the columns have be re-erected.
