Pamukkale

Pamukkale (pronounced pah-MOO-kah-leh) is white calcium formations (travertines) with water cascading over them. It is one of Turkey's most familiar sites and has been declared by UNESCO a world heritage site.

Immediately above Pamukkale, the Romans build a large spa city Hierapolis to make use of the water's powers.
