Rotorua

The Rotorua region is famous for geothermal activity. There's hot springs, boiling mud and gushing geysers such as Lady Knox. There's also a strong smell of sulphur (like rotten eggs). We visited Waiotapu Wonderland to see thermal activity.

There is more to Rotorua than thermal pools as we also visited a Maori Meeting House for food, songs and to learn more about Maori beliefs and culture.
